Spid the Spider Helps Bid Open a Bakery

This fifteenth Spid the Spider adventure will inspire children, especially budding bakers and entrepreneurs everywhere.  In the story, Bid dreams of setting up her own artisan bakery though she faces numerous setbacks in turning her dream into reality. With grit, determination, and Spid’s help, she learns from the setbacks and finds a way to succeed.  It’s a fun-filled story that also educates by encouraging a ‘growth mindset’. Baking is increasingly seen as a fun, creative activity that families and children can do together. This sense of involvement and creativity aligns perfectly in this latest Spid the Spider adventure. The story also aligns with the global phenomena and cultural touchstones of The Great British Bake Off (GBBO) and The Apprentice. 

Two songs also feature in the book; ‘Dreams’ and ‘Honey Bee Cakes’. These further immerse children in the story.  By scanning QR codes, readers can see and hear animated music videos of the songs.
