‘Julia’s Story’: It was difficult to stay true to Julia’s words, so I used no choruses to avoid diluting their impact. Tally Kord sings in both English and Ukrainian. I hear lots of grace and feeling, a mixture of Mary Hopkins and Joan Baez in Tally’s tone and phrasing.
