Here’s a fun over half term or on Valentine’s Day with Spid’s Valentine’s Roll and Colour Game.  It is designed to improve your child’s mathematical and colouring skills.

About Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th, and of course, Spid is planning to send his girlfriend, Bid, a Valentine’s Card. Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day to honour a martyr called Valentine.  In many parts of the world, the day also celebrates love and romance.

In the 18th Century printers began producing cards with sentimental verses for young lovers unable to create their own.  Since then the giving of cards, confectionery and flowers has grown in popularity.

To help you celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’ve created a Valentine’s Roll and Colour Game. It will help your children improve their mathematical and creative skills.  The rules are simple.

How to play Valentine’s Roll and Colour Game

1. Download and print a playing card for each player

2. Take it in turns to throw two dice. Count the number of spots then colour in the total number on your card, and colour in that numbered heart on your playing card.

3. The winner is the first person to colour in all of their hearts!
