Wookey Whoo! is a rip-roaring and dramatic rock song with an infectious hook. It’s a Halloween party and dance scream.
The Gang celebrates friendship and the ability of a team to achieve. It brings everyone together with chorus; “We’re the gang, we’re the gang, we’re the gang, gang, gang … together we can do so much … ”.
Sheen Neean Kwai Luh is phonetic Chinese for Happy New Year. It’s a ballad, moment for reflection, that tells us to brush away our fears and think positive thoughts.
New Year Ensemble is rousing New Year party and dance song: “So let us sing, let us dance, Strain your voice with New Year chants, Don’t leave anything else to chance … ”.
Birthday Girl is a love song written to celebrate Spid’s girlfriend Bid’s birthday – though the message applies to girls everywhere – “I’m so grateful to you”.
It’s My Birthday also appears in Spid the Spider Plans a Birthday Surprise. It’s another party song to get up, singalong and dance to.
Surfin’ Spidwell Bay pays homage to holidays at Spidwell Bay. It combines The Beach Boys’ surf vibe with Bill Haley’s ‘Shake, rattle and roll’.
In Holiday, Spid sings about his holiday experiences. You can only hope they are not yours!
Bag It, Bin It is an electro synth(esiser), anti-litter campaign song. It extols the virtues of recycling with a catchy chorus; “Bag it, bin it, put your rubbish in it. It’s not trash, it’s trade cash”.
Plan-it Earth starts with a superb guitar instrumental. It is a thoughtful and melancholy song, with a rallying chorus to save the planet “You Can Help Us Out, Be a Planet Scot”.
Th closing track on the album is Easy Spider. It is a road song that sees Spid biking the highways. But as often is the case with Spid, things often go wrong.
